Komen Detroit Race for the Cure 2022: Run on Belle Isle to help spread breast cancer awareness

Every 2 minutes a person is diagnosed with breast cancer

DETROIT – Runners and walkers will be taking over Belle Isle to help spread breast cancer awareness next month.

The 31st annual Komen Detroit Race for the Cure is set to take place on the island on Oct. 2 at 8:30 a.m.

There will be on-site registration open to those that want to join last minute at 7 a.m.

So far, the 2022 Detroit race has raised $89,024.20. The organization’s goal is to raise $400,000 this year.
