Man shot in southwest Detroit drives to police on side of I-75 Investigation is ongoing
DETROIT – Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in southwest Detroit.
According to authorities , Michigan State Police troopers were working on a crash on southbound I-75 near Outer Drive just before 9 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, when a man pulled up and told them he had been shot.
The man was rushed to a hospital to be treated for his injuries.
Police said the shooting happened on Longworth Street, near Vernor Highway and Lawndale Street.
Anyone with information is asked to the Detroit Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
