Man out on probation caught with meth, cocaine, loaded gun in I-696 traffic stop

ROSEVILLE, Mich. – A traffic stop in Macomb County on New Year’s Eve resulted in the seizure of multiple drugs and a loaded gun.

According to authorities, a 24-year-old man from Warren was pulled over by police at about 5 p.m. on I-696 in Roseville because he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. Police said the driver did not have a license and had several warrants for his arrest.

A search of the vehicle reportedly resulted in the seizure of a loaded handgun, 22 grams of methamphetamine, 15 grams of cocaine, a quart of promethazine, 800 grams of psilocybin, 178 pills and $5,000 in cash.

Police said the driver did not have a CPL and was a convicted felon on probation.

He was lodged at the Macomb County Jail pending charges.
