The Detroit Public Schools Community District has canceled classes for Tuesday due to frigid temperatures.
The announcement occurred Monday (Jan. 15) on X, saying that DPSCD schools and central offices will be closed on Jan. 16, 2024, due to the dangerously cold temperatures.

Tuesday morning, temperatures will be five degrees but feel like negative nine. By 3 p.m., temps will rise to seven degrees, but it will feel like negative eight.
