DETROIT – Police in Detroit are asking for the public’s help in locating a man who lit a car on fire.
According to authorities, the arson happened just after 1 p.m. on March 3 at a parking structure on Alexandrine Street, between Cass and Woodward avenues. Police said a man walked into the the building, threw a brick at the rear window of a 2023 Tesla, left for a short time, came back, poured an accelerant on to the vehicle and lit it on fire.

Anyone who recognizes the man or has any information is asked to contact the Detroit Police Department Arson Unit at 313-596-2940 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP. Tips can be made anonymously and can be submitted online.
