The Wednesday, April 10 event included live performances from the 2024 artist-in-residence Brian Blade and the Fellowship Band, and the One-World Jazz Orchestra, a collaboration between the Berklee Global Jazz Institute and Wayne State University’s Jazz program.
The preview event was a thrilling glimpse into the highly anticipated new Gretchen C. Valade Jazz Center on the vibrant campus of Wayne State University.
The center is scheduled to open to the public this fall.
