Fire crews extinguish funeral home blaze in Detroit

DETROIT – Fire crews extinguished a funeral home fire on Detroit’s west side.

It happened Thursday, Sept. 12, at Ellis Funeral Home on Grand River Avenue, just west of Lahser Road.

Officials said the damage was contained to the roof of the building.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
