If you can think of it, why not build it? Brick Fest Live comes to Oakland County

OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – In Oakland County, imagination and play came together as kids had access to more than a million colorful bricks.

No, not those bricks. Brick Fest Live is a place where minds run wild while building things, but just don’t call the bricks Lego.

The traveling event features 35-foot tracks where kids test their engineering skills.

Justin Doty, one of the participants, shared his winning strategy.

“It’s because I made the front like a boat, like a submarine,” he said.

At Brick Fest Live, if you can think of it, why not build it?

“It is a place where we like to inspire, educate, and entertain,” said Julius Funches II, a floor manager.

The event includes stations and attractions designed to spark creativity, along with hands-on brick challenges.

There’s also the Glow Zone, life-size models, and a Guinness World Record challenge for building a massive floor mosaic.

Families brainstorm together, as Angela Doty from West Bloomfield said, “The groups that get together, we get to help each other so if one person is looking for a specific piece, the whole table will start looking for it because we all want to help each other make the best creation we can.”

Ideas are brought to life, brick by brick.
