DETROIT – Demonstrators with the Moratorium NOW! Coalition marched in downtown Detroit
The unexpected march occurred on Thursday (May 1) in downtown Detroit, right past our Local 4 News station.
Spokesperson Abayomi Azikiwe stated, “International rights for working people, for oppressed people. We oppose the Trump/Musk program of laying off federal agency employees, attempting to privatize the Post Office, and attacks on migrants.”
The protest highlighted ongoing concerns about labor rights and the impact of government policies on vulnerable communities.
