ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. – Sweetgreen, the popular fast-casual salad chain, is set to open its fifth Michigan location in Oakland County.

The restaurant will open at 260 North Adams Road at The Village of Rochester Hills on Friday, May 23, 2025.

“Opening in Rochester Hills is an exciting milestone in Sweetgreen’s Midwest expansion as we grow our Michigan community and deepen relationships with trusted local suppliers,” said Christopher Tarrant, Chief Development Officer at Sweetgreen. “We can’t wait to open our doors and serve the Rochester Hills community with fresh, flavorful ingredients from partners like Zingerman’s Creamery and Riverridge Produce.”

The new 2,406 square foot restaurant has 22 seats inside and plenty of patio seating, according to a release.

Sweetgreen is celebrating this restaurant opening with a few giveaways. The public is invited to attend the grand opening ceremony, which will kick off with a ribbon cutting at 9:45 a.m. Doors will open at 10 a.m.

Giveaways include organic wellness drinks from Earthy Botanical Mobile Bar, mini flower bouquets from We Floral Detroit and Sweetgreen merchandise (while supplies last).

Sweetgreen’s full menu of salads, warm bowls, protein plates and a variety of sides, will be available for purchase, and there will also be a new KBBQ-inspired steak menu featured.

The limited-time KKBQ menu, which includes plate and salad options, was created in partnership with Michelin-starred Korean steakhouse, COTE, according to the release.

The new restaurant will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

There are also reservations available for “Tasting Days” events on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, and Thursday, May 22, 2025. You’ll get a sneak peek of the new Sweetgreen and get to order a complimentary bowl from the menu.

In addition, with the opening of every new location, Sweetgreen partners with a local organization to give back to the community. The restaurant partnered with Forgotten Harvest, which helps fight food insecurity by providing food to residents across Metro Detroit.

For each meal purchased on opening day, Sweetgreen will donate a meal to Forgotten Harvest.

This will be Sweetgreen’s fifth location in Michigan. There are two other Oakland County locations, in Birmingham and Troy, and there are also locations in Ann Arbor and Arbor Hills.
