Man shot multiple times in Eastpointe drive-by shooting; Shooter fled in dark Sedan

EASTPOINTE, Mich. – A man was hospitalized after being shot multiple times during a drive-by shooting in Eastpointe.

The shooting occurred on Friday (May 9) at 3:30 p.m. on Kelly Road north of 8 Mile Road.

Police said the victim was driving when he was shot as several witnesses reported that the shooter fired at the man from a dark, 4-door sedan, which fled the scene.

Officials said the victim was rushed to a Metro Detroit hospital for treatment as the incident remained under investigation.
