DETROIT – A Michigan State Police Trooper and a suspect have been injured during a shooting on Detroit’s west side.
The incident occurred on Friday (May 16) at 7:50 p.m. during a traffic stop on the Lodge Freeway at Wyoming Avenue.
MSP said the Trooper was fighting with the suspect and then stated he had been shot and returned fire, striking the suspect.
Officials said the Trooper was transported to Sinai Grace Hospital for treatment.
The Public Information Officer is heading to Sinai Grace Hospital.
