MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – Lane closures on part of I-94 in Macomb County for bridge work will begin this week, officials said.
During the closure, Michigan Department of Transportation crews will make upgrades to the I-94 overpass over 13 Mile Road in Roseville.
Starting on Thursday, May 29, westbound I-94 will be reduced to two lanes near 13 Mile Road and will also have intermittent nightly lane closures over 13 Mile Road from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., according to a release. This is expected to last through August.
Westbound 13 Mile Road will also be closed under I-94 between Little Mack Avenue and M-3 (Gratiot Avenue). Drivers are directed to use the following detour:
- Northbound Little Mack Avenue, westbound Masonic Street and southbound M-3 (Gratiot Avenue) back to 13 Mile Road.
Crews will also close the Little Mack Avenue entrance ramp to westbound I-94. Drivers will be detoured as follows:
- Northbound Little Mack Avenue, westbound Masonic Street and southbound M-3 (Gratiot Avenue) to westbound I-94.
MDOT is investing $750,000 to make the upgrades in this project.
