A Michigan woman wanted in connection with a home invasion was taken into custody with the help of a K-9 officer, police said.

At about 8 a.m. on Tuesday, June 3, Michigan State Police troopers responded to a report of a home invasion in Blair Township, which is located about four miles south of Traverse City.

The homeowner told police that he saw a woman in his driveway from his Ring doorbell camera and then allegedly saw her go into his house, take items and then leave.

Trooper Unterbrink and his canine partner, Ox, were called to help search for the suspect.

They found the woman, identified as a 44-year-old from Kingsley, in thick vegetation after a five-mile trek.

The Kingsley woman was arrested and taken to the Grand Traverse County Jail. She faces multiple charges, according to state police.
