Michigan House Republicans sue Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson over election training subpoena Suit follows House Republicans’ vote to hold Benson in contempt for failing to hand over requested documents
The Republican-controlled Michigan House of Representatives is filing a lawsuit against Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson.
The suit claims she’s violated the law by not complying with a subpoena regarding access to election training materials.
But Benson argues that releasing certain information could compromise election security.
This lawsuit follows House Republicans’ vote to hold Benson in contempt for failing to hand over the requested documents.
