23-year-old behind Detroit Metro Airport bomb scare arrested while attempting to board another flight
Monroe resident John Charles Robinson, 23, was arrested on a criminal complaint for calling Spirit Airlines and reporting a fake bomb threat for a flight departing from Detroit Metropolitan Airport.
The incident occurred on Thursday at 6:25 a.m. when Robinson reportedly used a cellphone to call Spirit Airlines and conveyed false information about the bomb threat to Flight 2145 departing from DTW bound for Los Angeles.

Individuals who visited the medical office building at 3950 S. Rochester Road, in Rochester Hills, on the corner of Rochester Road and South Boulevard on Tuesday, June 3, anytime between 8 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. may have been exposed to measles.
If you think you were exposed to measles at this location on June 3, Immune Globulin (IG) treatment is effective within six days of exposure for high-risk individuals.
Royal Oak woman accused in mother’s death after mental health crisis call
A Royal Oak woman is accused of her mother’s death after a mental health crisis call.
The incident occurred on Wednesday (June 4) at 7:40 p.m. in the 3600 block of Crooks Road.
The mother, who was a 66-year-old resident of Fenton, said her 45-year-old daughter was experiencing a mental health crisis and needed to be taken to the hospital.
Officers said when they arrived, they detected signs of a struggle while speaking with the daughter, later identified as Royal Oak resident Jennifer Suzanne Cataldo.
