A Michigan woman saw that the progressive jackpot for the Club Keno The Jack had reset, so she checked her ticket and discovered that she was the big winner.

Donna Keathley, 65, of Evart, which is located in Michigan’s Osceola County, won a $412,171 playing The Jack, a Club Keno add-on.

The lucky player matched her The Jack numbers – 02-04-14-16-23-25-62-68-76 – to nine of the 20 Club Keno numbers that were drawn in draw 2468174, according to the Michigan Lottery.

“I play Club Keno often, but I’ve never played The Jack,” said Keathley. “I decided to add it on to my ticket that day because the jackpot was up there and to try something new.”

She and her friends scanned their tickets once they had seen that the jackpot had reset.

“Shortly after buying my ticket, I saw someone had won because the jackpot reset to $10,000,” said Keathley. “We were with a group of people, and they scanned their tickets first. I scanned mine last, and there it was – $412,171! It was shocking and pretty surreal because I’m usually not very lucky.”

The woman said she plans to pay her bills with her prize money and then save the rest.

Keathley purchased her winning ticket at Murphy’s Bar at 32 East Northern Avenue in Barryton, which is located about 30 miles northwest of Mount Pleasant.

Players can add The Jack onto their Club Keno wagers for $1, according to the Michigan Lottery. Prizes range from $1 to the jackpot, which starts at $10,000 and keeps growing until it is won.

A player must match all nine numbers to the Club Keno numbers that are drawn to win the jackpot.
