HIGHLAND PARK, Mich. – Things are about to start looking a little brighter in some parts of Highland Park as brand-new streetlights are being installed.
Neighbors who’ve been living without streetlights for more than a decade said the new lights will help make their blocks safer.
For now, five of the solar streetlights are being installed on Louise Street, and five are being placed on Florence Street.
Local 4 was informed that a block party will be held to celebrate the completion of the installation by the end of June.
