Summer is about 7 days away and farmers markets are starting to sprout in Oakland County with flowers, plants, vegetables, herbs and fresh produce. Some markets host food trucks and entertainment. Check out these farmers markets in Oakland County this summer.
- The Birmingham Farmers Market: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sundays, May 4, through Oct. 26 at Public Parking Lot 6 at 660 North Old Woodward Avenue in downtown Birmingham.
- Clarkston Area Farmers Market: 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Saturdays, June 14 to Oct. 11 in the front parking lot at the Clarkston Community Education Center, 6558 Waldon Road, Clarkston.
- Clawson Farmers Market: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. every other Saturday, including June 14, June 28, July 26 and Aug. 9, at Clawson’s Southeast Municipal Lot, at (S. Main and Gardner St.), downtown Clawson.
- Farmington Farmers and Artisans Market: 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. Saturdays, May 3 through the first Saturday in November, at Walter E. Sundquist Pavilion, 33113 Grand River Ave., at Grove St.
- Fenton Farmers Market: 5-8 p.m. Thursdays, May 15 to Sept. 18, in front of the Fenton Community & Cultural Center, 150 S. Leroy St., Fenton.
- Spicer Orchards: 9 a.m.-7 p.m. daily, at 10411 Clyde, Fenton. Strawberry U-pick started June 10, the orchard expects peak season between June 17 and June 25.
- Highland Farmers Market: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays, June 14 to Oct. 4, at Highland Township Complex, 205 N. John St., Highland.
- Holly Farmers Market: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sundays, May 4 through October, at Crapo Park, downtown Holly.
- Milford Farmers’ Market: 3-7 p.m. Thursdays, May 8 to Oct. 9, (no market on July 3 or Aug. 7) at East Liberty Street between S. Main St. and Union St.
- Northville Farmers’ Market: 8 a.m.-2 p.m., Thursdays, May 1 to Oct. 30, at 550 W Seven Mile Rd, Northville.
- Oakland County Farmers Market: 7 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, May 1 through December at 2350 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford Twp.
- Fogler’s Greenhouse & Farm Market: Open daily, seasonally from early spring to late fall, 559 S. Lapeer Road, Lake Orion, and 3979 Rochester Road, Rochester.
