2 teens found dead in Monroe County, investigation underway

Two teenagers were found dead Tuesday morning in Monroe County. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office received reports about two people found dead on Heiss Road near Steffas Road in Raisinville Township on June 17 just before 10 a.m. The car the teens were found dead near can be seen being towed away. RAISINVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Two teenagers were found dead Tuesday morning in Monroe County.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office received reports about two people found dead on Heiss Road near Steffas Road in Raisinville Township on June 17 just before 10 a.m.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they found two teenagers, a boy and a girl, dead outside of a car with apparent gunshot wounds.

According to the sheriff’s office, this is not connected to the homicide in Bedford Township on June 14.

Investigators believe there is no danger to the community, and the investigation is ongoing.
