Tornado Warning canceled for Macomb County
Residents urged to seek shelter as storm approaches

Update: Probable tornado hits Macomb County, toppling trees and power lines
It was issued for the southern part of the county and included Warren, Sterling Heights, Fraser and Clinton Township.

The alert was issued just after 1 p.m. and was initially expected to remain active until 2 p.m.
Just before 1:30 p.m., the National Weather Service canceled the warning, claiming the storm no longer appeared capable of producing a tornado.
