Wayne County dancing group gets Golden Buzzer on ‘America’s Got Talent’

Group heading to quarterfinals

A local dancing group got the Golden Buzzer on America’s Got Talent Tuesday night.

The Funkateer Dancers from Inkster are a quartet of performers who made quite an impression.

The group has been performing together on and off for 45 years. They got their start in high school, where they won their high school’s talent competition.

The Funkateer Dancers are heading straight to America’s Got Talent quarterfinals after host and Flint native Terry Crews gave them the Golden Buzzer.

The Inkster-based group will perform at the live shows in August.
