Confirmed tornado hits Macomb County, toppling trees and power lines
Several Macomb County communities are cleaning up after being hit by a potential tornado during the first wave of Wednesday’s storms.
The National Weather Service confirmed just before 4 p.m. that Macomb County had a tornado near Fraser.
The probable tornado formed near 13 Mile Road and Gratiot Avenue in Roseville. Another area potentially hit was Kelly Road in Clinton Township, between 13 and 14 mile roads.

The chance of rain showers will last through Thursday, including the possibility of a few thunderstorms in the evening. Severe weather is not expected.
Thursday’s calmer weather comes as people are cleaning up from Wednesday’s damaging storms. Trees were downed and flash flooding resulted in at least one water rescue.
