BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A man was arrested Saturday after allegedly trying to break into a Bloomfield Township home by stabbing the front door with a knife.
Police received a 911 call from a resident stating that a man dressed in all black was trying to break into their home in the area of Quarton and Lahser roads.

According to the caller, the suspect was stabbing the front door with a knife and attempting to kick it in.
When officers arrived at the home, they found the suspect, 37-year-old Peter Chan-Woong Chung, on the front porch. Officers also found the knife Chung allegedly used to stab the door with on a window ledge near the front door.
Chung, from Birmingham, was arrested and arraigned on an attempted home invasion charge. His bond was set at $25,000. He is expected to be back in court on July 3.
