Police search for gunman who shot innocent bystander, intended target before Detroit fireworks

The gunman was last seen wearing a blue hoodie and white sneakers.

DETROIT – Police are searching for the gunman who shot an innocent bystander and his intended target just before the fireworks started in downtown Detroit.

The incident occurred on Monday (June 23) when police said an altercation between two men who were fighting on Randolph and Larned streets.

Officials said one man in his late teens or young adult pulled out a gun and shot a man who was his intended target and a woman who was an innocent bystander.

Police said both victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Officials said the man and his partner ran through the parking garage at the location.
