DETROIT – Police are offering a $1,000 reward for information regarding a shooting that hospitalized a teen.

It happened June 1, near the intersection of Montrose Street and Acacia Avenue.

According to authorities, the 19-year-old victim was shot after he met the suspect to purchase clothing. Police said the suspect took out a gun as the victim was trying on the clothes. During a struggle, the suspect reportedly shot the teen before leaving in a black sedan.

The teen was treated for his injuries at a nearby hospital.

Police describe the suspected gunman as standing 5 feet, 7 inches tall and with shoulder-length locs. He was wearing a black hat, a black “Essentials” hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
