“I play scratch-off tickets all the time and the $30 tickets are my favorite,” the lucky player told Michigan Lottery officials. “I scratched the ticket in my car in the store parking lot when I was done shopping. When I saw I won $4 million, I was frozen in my seat for a while.”

The winner then went home and told her husband about her big win.

“I told my husband when I got home, and he had a hard time believing it even after looking the ticket over,” the player said. “We haven’t told anyone about our big win, but plan to surprise our family with the news soon!”

The player chose to receive her prize as annual payments of about $133,000 for the next 30 years instead of getting it as a lump sum of about $2.7 million.

She plans to complete home repairs, donate and share the money with her family.

Each $30 Electric 300s ticket gives players the chance to win prizes that range from $30 up to $4 million.

Michigan Lottery officials say there are still $133 million in prizes left, including two $4 million top prizes and 187 $6,000 prizes.
