The Village of Rochester Hills invites the Detroit community to enjoy a lineup of free summer events all summer long.
Each week, guests can experience a variety of educational and musical activities for families, friends, and visitors of all ages. Highlights for this July include Music & Me classes with Miss Calissa every Monday and Wednesday which include interactive classes for young children that encourage movement, language, and bonding through music.

The Village of Rochester Hills will be located at the corner of Adams and Walton Road, in Rochester Hills, and will feature of 50 retailers as well as a variety of culinary selections of restaurants. Retail stores such as Von Maur, Evereve, Dry Goods, and Lululemon will make appearances as well as restaurants like Sweetgreen, The Jackson, Bravo! Italian Kitchen, PF Chang’s, and Shake Shack.

An event for guests to bring their little ones and a blanket (classes are geared towards children birth to five years) for free and interactive music classes on the lawn, as an opportunity to bond with them over music, movement, and activities that support speech, language, and social skill development.
Live Music from Clarinet Ensemble

Lawn games will be set up around Festival Park for guests to enjoy while the music plays. Guests are advised to bring lawn chairs and blankets in order to enjoy the morning sun and some great outdoor entertainment.

Mobile Dueling Pianos

Time: 6 - 8 p.m.
Location: Festival Park
Mobile Dueling Pianos will be energizing the crowds with a free high-energy, interactive rock n roll, comedy show that will be something all ages will enjoy. Anyone in the crowd can request any song, and the piano players will play it.
Bugs with Bugs on Wheels
- July 24
Morning time: 10 - 11 a.m.
Evening time: 6 - 7 p.m.
Location: Festival Park
Ms. Nadia, “The Bug Lady” will be hosting two informal educational sessions, one at 10:00am and the other at 6:00pm. This experience gives both children and adults the opportunity to better understand and appreciate how amazing, important, and not-so-scary bugs really are. Attendees will be educated and entertained as they see, touch, and hold some amazing little creatures.
Live Music from Sheila Landis & Rick Matle
- July 25
Time: 5 - 8 p.m.
Location: Festival Park
Enjoy Pop Hits from the 60s and 70’s as Sheila Landis and Rick Matle perform.

Village Fine Art Fair
- July 26
Time: 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Time: 12 - 5 p.m.
Location: Festival Park
This two-day event will host approximately 70 artists from across the United States, with over half coming from Michigan. Artwork in all faucets will be featured including ceramics, glass, paintings, drawings, multi-media, sculpture, photography, fiber art, wood, jewelry and more. This free event will feature artist booths, food vendors, and family-fun entertainment all weekend long.
