DETROIT – First responders were on the scene of a three-car crash that sent a vehicle into a vacant building on Detroit’s east side.
The crash occurred on Friday (July 4) at 3:40 p.m. on East Vernor Highway and Mt. Elliott Street.
Police said a vehicle was traveling southbound on Mt. Elliott at a high rate of speed when it collided with another vehicle.
Officials stated that one of the vehicles then crashed into a nearby vacant building.
Police reported that there were no serious injuries, but the driver of the speeding vehicle was taken to a hospital in Metro Detroit for evaluation.
