DETROIT – A teen was injured in a drive-by shooting on Detroit’s east side late Thursday night.

According to Detroit police, three teens were walking out of a gas station in the 10100 block of Mack Avenue at around 11 p.m. on July 3 when someone in a white SUV heading westbound fired shots.

A 16-year-old boy was shot and taken to a local hospital for treatment. Police said he is in critical condition.

The Detroit Police Department is reminding the community of the city’s curfew, which is 11 p.m. for teens aged 16 and 17.
