Investigation underway in deadly house explosion on Detroit’s east side
Woman found dead, man injured
DETROIT – The man pulled from the rubble of a deadly house explosion on Detroit’s east side remains in the hospital Monday morning.
A home on McCormick Street exploded on July 5, 2025, at around 4 p.m.
The man who survived was pulled out by neighbors and rushed to the hospital. Hours later, first responders found the body of a woman.
Two other homes were also damaged in the explosion.
