Detroit police search for gunman who shot man on his own porch

DETROIT – A man is recovering after a shooting this afternoon on Detroit’s east side.

The incident occurred on Kelly and Moross roads at 3:30 p.m. on Friday (July 11).

Police said the victim was sitting on his front porch when he heard gunfire and felt pain.

Officials said the man made it to a nearby hospital on his own and is now in stable condition.

Police are still searching for the shooter.
