A Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Genesee, Oakland, and Lapeer counties has expired.

The warning was until 8:15 p.m. on Friday, July 11, 2025.

Genesee County

Oakland County

  • A severe thunderstorm warning expired at 8:15 p.m.

Lapeer County

  • A severe thunderstorm warning expired at 8:15 p.m.

At 7:22 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located over Goodrich, near Grand Blanc, moving east at 40 mph.

Radar indicates the storm could cause hail damage to vehicles and wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

The storm was expected to reach Hadley, Goodrich, and Ortonville around 7:25 p.m. EDT, Metamora around 7:35 p.m., and Oxford around 7:40 p.m.

Other areas in the storm’s path include Atlas, Lakeville, Elba, Holly State Recreation Area, Leonard, Lake Orion, Thornville, and Rochester Hills.

For your safety, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
