Popular Oakland County restaurant closes abruptly

LAKE ORION, Mich. – Anita’s Kitchen in Lake Orion has closed its doors.

Restaurant officials announced the closure on social media on Sunday, July 13, the same day it closed.

Owners said, “An opportunity has presented itself,” which led to them closing the restaurant abruptly.

They added that current staff can choose to be moved to Anita’s Kitchen locations in Detroit or Ferndale.

“We have also made efforts to connect staff with currently operating local restaurants who are hiring,” they wrote.

The Ferndale, Detroit and DTW locations remain open.
