MELVINDALE, Mich. – A body was found at a park in Melvindale Monday evening.
Police said officers responded to McGinty Park at around 7:30 p.m. on July 14 for a report of a body being found.
When officers and crews from the Dearborn Fire Department arrived at the scene, they confirmed the person found in the park was dead.
The Melvindale Police Department is working to learn more about the circumstances surrounding the person’s death and is working with the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office.
According to police, there is no danger to the community or public, and there is no person of interest at this time.
No further details on the person will be released due to the ongoing investigation and out of respect to the victim’s family.
