LENAWEE COUNTY, Mich. – A former Michigan youth soccer coach who is accused of having a five-year abusive sexual relationship with a minor player has been convicted.
Andrew Olnhausen, 38, of Texas, was convicted by a Lenawee County jury of multiple criminal sexual conduct charges on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.

He was found guilty of the following counts:
- Four counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct
- Three counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct
- One count of accosting a child for immoral purposes
- Five counts of possessing child sexually abusive material
- One count of using a computer to commit a crime
- One count of distributing sexual material to a minor
- One count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor
Olnhausen faces life in prison on the first-degree criminal sexual conduct counts and 15 years in prison for each count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Officials say that when Olnhausen was a youth soccer coach for Fellowship of Christian Athletes, he allegedly had an abusive sexual relationship with one of the players.
The relationship allegedly began in 2016, when the soccer player was 12, and continued until the player was about 16 years old.
“I am grateful to the jury for their careful consideration of the evidence, the Adrian Police Department for their investigative efforts, and the prosecutors in my office for their commitment to this case,” Nessel said. “Above all, I commend the courage of the victim, whose decision to come forward after years of abuse made this outcome possible. My office will continue pursuing justice for sexual assault survivors, no matter how long it takes.”
After an investigation by Adrian police, Olnhausen was extradited to Michigan from Texas in 2022 to face these charges.
His sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 5.
