Mt. Clemens Eagles put charity first with corn roast, pet adoption events

From fighting diseases or helping children in need, every fundraising dollar takes flight for a good cause

MT. CLEMENS, Mich. – When you think of secret societies, the fraternal order of eagles might come to mind, but over in Macomb County, there’s nothing hidden about the good work happening at the Mt. Clemens Eagles.

The eagles right outside of downtown Mt. Clemens, along the Clinton River on South River Road, are all about people helping people.

From fighting diseases or helping children in need, every fundraising dollar takes flight for a good cause.

Mt. Clemens Eagles has consistently donated upwards of $150,000 each year to charitable organizations.

This Saturday, the Mount Clemens Eagles are hosting their annual summer corn roast, open to the public, starting at 4 p.m.

All proceeds will benefit the Capuchin Soup Kitchen.

Then, on Aug. 2, a forever home adoption event will take place from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., also open to the public.

It looks like a fun time, so we have all those details, plus the great things the Mt. Clemens Eagles are doing right now, on clickondetroit.com.
