MONROE COUNTY, Mich. – Two juveniles were arrested after allegedly stealing a car and leading a police chase in Monroe County.
On July 29, 2025, Michigan State Police troopers responded to several calls in the area of Custer Estates Apartments on Mall Road in Frenchtown Township for multiple reports, including larceny from vehicle complaints, attempted stolen vehicle complaints and a report of a stolen 2018 Ford Edge.

Using Flock cameras, police learned that the stolen Ford Edge was in the area of Laplaisance Road near I-75. Troopers were able to locate the car traveling in the area.
A Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputy caught up to the stolen car on I-75 near Elm Street.
The deputy chased the stolen car for miles before it came to an end at Van Horn Road and Telegraph Road in Brownstown Township. Two juveniles were then arrested.
The two were taken to the Monroe County Youth Center. The juveniles’ ages and identities have not been released.
The sheriff’s office believes the juveniles were also involved in breaking and entering complaints overnight in Frenchtown Township.
The investigation is ongoing.
