An Oakland County man hit the jackpot playing his favorite game, Colossal Cashword, winning the $2 million top prize.
“Colossal Cashword is my go-to game,” said the 34-year-old winner, who asked to remain anonymous. “I scratched the ticket right after buying it and was thrilled to find nine words. When I uncovered the 10th word and the $2 million prize, I was in total shock. Winning feels amazing!”

The winning ticket was purchased at USA 2 GO Quick Store, 8355 Grand River Road in Brighton. The winner recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim the prize. He opted for a one-time lump sum payment of about $1.3 million instead of annuity payments. He plans to use his winnings to pay off student loans and buy a new car.
Since its launch in September 2023, Colossal Cashword players have won more than $96 million in prizes. Each $30 ticket offers chances to win from $30 up to $2 million. More than $21 million in prizes remain, including five $10,000 prizes and 37 $5,000 prizes.
