DETROIT – The taps at Six Spoke Brewing Co. are nearly open.

The brewing company is opening a location in Corktown, and its team is inviting you to their grand opening weekend Aug. 8-10.

According to its social media, Six Spoke Brewing is opening on Aug. 8 at 2445 Michigan, Ave. During its grand opening weekend, there will be yard games, food, music and more.

The new brewery will be in the same building as Cork & Gabel and Two James Spirits.

Six Spoke is named after the spokes that make up Detroit’s major roadways. It will be part microbrewery and part brewpub. There will be a variety of beers and brew its own beer on-site. There are plans to have food as well.

The 6,000-square-foot brewery will have indoor seating for 85-100 people. Guests can also hang out on a large outdoor patio with seating for 100 to enjoy live music with a view of the revitalized Michigan Central Station.
