WARREN, Mich. – A 61-year-old Warren man has been charged in connection with possessing and sharing images of child sexually abusive material, officials said.
On Friday, Aug. 1, Michael Cristini was arraigned on three counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material (each a 10-year felony), three counts of possession of child sexually abusive material (each a four-year felony), three counts of using a computer to commit a crime (each a seven-year felony), which is related to the possession of child sexually abusive material charges. He was also charged as a habitual offender, second offense.

The charges come after Cristini allegedly possessed and shared photos of child sexually abusive material on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, according to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office.
He was issued a $500,000 cash/surety bond.
If released, he must wear a GPS tether and cannot leave the state.
In addition, Cristini also can’t:
- Use the internet or computers
- Have any weapons
- Have drugs or alcohol
His probable cause conference is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 14, and his preliminary examination is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 21.
“The charges brought today represent some of the most serious offenses under the law involving the exploitation of children. Our office will pursue this case with the full force of the law. Aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material is not only deeply criminal, it is profoundly harmful to victims, and we will treat it as such. We are committed to securing a conviction that reflects the severity of this conduct and to doing everything within our authority to protect children from this kind of abuse,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
