DETROIT – The Detroit Police Department released new video of the drive-by shooting that injured a 7-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy while they were asleep in a home on Detroit’s east side, as they continue to investigate.
The shooting happened at about 6:20 a.m. on July 31, in the 7000 block of Arcola Street.
Police say two vehicles pulled up to the home, and two people got out and fired shots into the house. They then got back into the trucks and fled the scene.
A 7-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy were injured.
One of the vehicles used in the shooting, a stolen gray 2022 Dodge Ram TRX, has been recovered, but police are still looking for the other vehicle, which is a stolen black 2021 Dodge Ram.
