WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. – Whether you know it or not, some of your neighbors could be living with food insecurity right now. Feeding America estimates about 1.4 million adults in Michigan experience the challenge of getting their families enough to eat regularly.
That’s one reason Focus: HOPE has partnered with the Wayne County Commission to support families, in this case, outside the Detroit city limits.
Two food distribution events are scheduled for August. Fresh food boxes will be handed out-- including fresh fruit and vegetables.
Residents can visit their local distribution sites beginning at 9 a.m. on the dates listed below. No pre-registration is required as food will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
