Hit-and-run seriously injures motorcycle driver in Detroit

$1,000 reward offered for tips leading to suspect’s arrest

DETROIT – Police in Detroit are looking for whoever is responsible for a hit-and-run that seriously injured a motorcyclist.

The crash happened just after 11 p.m., Tuesday, July 29, near the intersection of Grand River and Hubbell avenues. Police said a Chevrolet Malibu turned left onto Hubbell, striking the 34-year-old man riding a motorcycle.

Surveillance footage reportedly captured the driver and a passenger exiting the Chevrolet to inspect damage and approach the victim before leaving the scene.

Police said the vehicle is gray or gold and likely has damage to the front driver’s side.
