8 victims in Traverse City Walmart stabbing released from hospital

11 victims hurt, suspect arrested in random attack

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. – Eight of the 11 victims hurt in a stabbing at a Traverse City Walmart have been released from the hospital.

The stabbing happened on July 26 at around 5 p.m. The motive behind the attack is still unknown.

The suspected attacker, 42-year-old Bradford James Gille, was arrested and is facing one charge of terrorism and 11 charges of assault with intent to murder. He was arraigned on July 28.

The victims were taken to Munson Medical Center for treatment. The hospital has been providing updates on the victims’ conditions as the investigation continues.

As of Aug. 5, one patient is in good condition, two have been treated and transferred and eight were treated and released.

The Grand Traverse County Sheriff said the victims are the following:

  2. 84-year-old woman
  3. 82-year-old man
  4. 29-year-old woman
  5. 80-year-old woman
  6. 67-year-old woman
  7. 38-year-old man
  8. 39-year-old man
  9. 65-year-old woman
  10. 40-year-old man
  11. 55-year-old man
