Motorcyclist arrested after shooting at driver near Monroe County intersection

Car damaged, but no injuries reported

BEDFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich – A motorcyclist was arrested after shooting at a driver near an intersection in Monroe County, police said.

The shooting happened at 4:26 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4, 2025, near the intersection of Secor Road and Hemmingway Lane in Bedford Township.

Police said someone on a motorcycle fired shots at a driver in a car, and that driver got away without injured. The car was damaged, police said.

The shooter fled on the motorcycle but was later identified with the help of FLOCK camera information. Detectives went to a nearby home and took that person into custody.

They also found the gun used in the shooting, they said.

The motorcyclist was taken to the Monroe County Jail. The investigation continues.
