DETROIT – Detroit police Chief Todd Bettison says an arrest is expected soon in the investigation into the murder of 6-year-old Rylee Love.
Police said the shooting involved gunfire between multiple vehicles.
One bullet entered a nearby home, hitting Love.
Bettison expressed confidence that police know who fired the deadly shot.
“I basically know who did it, and so we’re very, very close. We’re just getting everything together so I can get something to the prosecutor’s office. But, I’m very, very confident that I’ll be able to update the community really soon so that everybody will know the individuals responsible for little Rylee Love’s death.”
No one has been charged yet, but as soon as an arrest is made, Local 4 will share that information with you.
The investigation remains active as police work to bring justice for Rylee and his family.
