Total loss: Massive fire destroys campers in Corktown neighborhood; No injuries reported

CORKTOWN, Mich. – A massive fire has destroyed several campers in Corktown.

The incident occurred on Wednesday (Aug. 6) around 8 p.m. in a neighborhood near Vermont and Porter streets.

The Detroit Fire Department reported that the initial call indicated a fire in the area, but no further details were available at the time of the report.

When the crews arrived, they reported finding three fifth-wheel RVs fully engulfed in flames.

All three campers were a total loss, according to Detroit fire officials.

Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Fire officials said they will provide more information as it becomes available.
