OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – A 70-year-old man who was found unresponsive in a Wixom apartment pool has been pronounced dead.
The incident occurred on Thursday (Aug. 7) at 7:20 p.m. inside the Bristol Square Apartment complex on Beck Road and Pontiac Trail.

Police said when they arrived, the elderly man was unresponsive at the bottom of the complex’s community pool.
Officials said they removed the man from the pool along with assistance of Wixom Fire Department personnel to began immadiate life-saving measures.
Police said the elderly man was transported to Henry Ford Providence Novi Hospital by Huron Valley Ambulance, where he was later pronounced dead.
The 70-year-old man’s identity is not being released at this time while the next of kin are being notified.
