Showers and thunderstorms are possible in Metro Detroit on Tuesday afternoon and evening.
There is a marginal risk for storms being strong to severe, with the strongest capable of producing heavy rainfall and isolated wind gusts of 50 to 60 mph.
A few isolated storms after the lunch hour cannot be ruled out. However, it looks like the more widespread activity arrived after 5 p.m. on Aug. 12.
Looking Ahead
High pressure brings less humid conditions to close out the work week with sunshine and highs in the 80s. We heat back up this weekend with highs near 90 degrees and a chance for a storm developing on Sunday.
